About the scheme

Heart of the Community is a new initiative from Lakeside that's been set up with the aim of giving something back to the local community through donations to charities that support and care for Essex residents.

If you work for, or know of, a worthy Essex charity that would benefit from a £500 donation, you can nominate them using the form here.  From a new garden bench for a charity's garden, to new toys for a hospice, or even man-power for painting a room in a care home - all suggestions are welcome.

Lakeside's Campaign Committee will then choose two charities every month from the nominations and reward them with a £500 contribution towards a specific project or piece of equipment that the charity requires.
