Be A Beach Babe This Summer

The summer is in full swing and the holidays are upon us so it’s time to pull this season’s holiday ‘must-haves’ together…make sure you’re sizzling hot and don’t get left in the shade!

If you're not already tanned before you go away, remember to take swim wear that flatters pale skin for the beginning of your holiday. Look for shades like maroon, soft berry or chocolate. Until you’re a bronzed beauty stay away from very bright turquoise, cream, beige and pinks as these hues will make you look even paler.

The kaftan is this summer’s essential holiday buy. They look great over a bikini on the beach, fantastic over skinny jeans or on their own with a pair of strappy sandals.  Try River Island, Zara and Debenhams for gorgeous beaded kaftans.

It’s hard to look sexy when you’re hot and sweaty, so choose natural fibres that let your skin ‘breathe’. A pair of slouchy cotton trousers or shorts, leather flip flops and a pretty vest is a smart solution for steamy days and looks great. Don’t get on the plane without a stylish sun hat in your suitcase – essential on the beach and for hiding frizzy holiday hair.

A maxi skirt is a must for all you leg loathers out there and is also great for balancing out a pear shape. Keep the colour simple and wear with a patterned top for a young, fresh look.
