`Think Pink’ – September Issue
Think and dress pink this october!
Preparations for Breast Cancer Awareness Month are in full swing at Lakeside Shopping Centre. There will be a raft of fabulous fundraising activities taking place throughout October including Lakeside’s exclusive `Pretty in Pink’ celebrity shopping bag exhibition, plus the centre will be given a ‘pink’ facelift with lighting, logos, balloons and ribbons!
All this activity has got me thinking about the great choice of fashion and accessories you can buy in October that will help to raise funds for a number of worthwhile cancer charities.
Marks & Spencer has a wide selection of excellent fashion items and accessories including Breakthrough Breast Cancer Pink T-shirts, pink pyjama sets, a unique underwear range and Fashion Targets Breast Cancer cuff links for the boys!
If sporty and trendy is more your style, head to JD sports, which is stocking the uber cool women’s fitness brand USA PRO. Proceeds from sales of the ‘All Women Together’ range will go to Cancer Research UK. The range includes a support vest with three-quarter length trackpants, a pink velour fashion tracksuit and a new ‘they need your support’ Total Support Bra.
If you’re looking for a touch of glam then F. Hinds, the family jewellers, is supporting Cancer Research UK with an exclusive, limited edition pink ribbon diamond brooch, £150, with a staggering 50% of the sale going to charity.
There are many more ways you can show your support for cancer charities in October. Why not visit Lakeside’s ‘Pretty in Pink’ exhibition in the central atrium? You can view a selection of gorgeous shopping bags that have been beautifully designed by celebrities including Penny Lancaster, Patsy Palmer, Alex Curran, Lisa Faulkner and Emmerdale’s Adele Silva. If you spot one you fancy, you can bid for the chance to add it to your wardrobe collection and raise even more funds for charity at the same time.
