Do your children dream of being a famous dancer one day? Or perhaps they’d love to be the next top supermodel but don’t know how to get started? Well why not take a step towards fulfilling those dreams and get some handy hints at Lakeside’s half term dance and modelling workshops featuring the dancers from ‘Diversity!

Plus, special live perfomances by UK Street Dance Champions, Diversity, throughout the day on Friday 30 May.

 Spaces are limited and are allocated on a first come ,first served basis.

 Each workshop is split into two age groups: 6yrs – 11yrs and 12yrs – 16yrs.

 An adult must remain with the child at all times.

 Participants must wear correct clothing for the street dance workshops. Trainers, loose clothing (preferably sportswear/tracksuit) are essential.

 Legs must be covered over the knee as floor work may be involved (no shorts allowed) and jewellery must be kept to a minimum for Health and Safety reasons.

 Participants must supply their own soft drink (although there will be no cans allowed).

Modelling workshop: 10.30am – 11.30am

Dance workshop: 12pm – 1.30pm

Afternoon

Registration: 2pm – 2.30pm

Modelling workshop: 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Registration: 3.30pm – 4pm

Dance workshop: 4pm – 5.30pm

Go Green at Lakeside!

This bank holiday weekend, Lakeside invites you to Go Green. We'll be showing you how you can help to save our environment, recycle more and reduce your carbon footprint.

We'll also show you how Lakeside and its retailers are committed to helping reduce its environmental impact by:

Recycling:

• 75 tonnes glass

• 23 tonnes plastic

• 925 tonnes cardboard

• 115 tonnes metals & wood

In total 1,336 tonnes of waste were recycled offsite and 1,762 tonnes went to Incineration for Energy (IFE)

Our Reverse Vending Machine in the Food Court recycles 200 bottles per week on average.

Recycling bins are located at 4 of the 5 main entrances to the centre.

Lakeside Diving Centre makes a splash on the lake!

Lakeside Diving & Watersports Centre is now making waves as it opens the pontoon on The Boardwalk for business.

Over the summer months, from 12 noon onwards, there'll be loads of fun activities on the water, including pedalos and rowing boats for hire! Check out the activities on the pontoon on the week commencing 26 May 2008

Fancy a relax in the sun, why not take out one of their Lakeside swan pedalos for a sail. Or if you're looking for more of a workout, you can take one of our their rowing boats for a spin. The rowing boats are all new Tabrum boats, meaning they completely unsinkable!
